Bastar: The Naxal Story starring Adah Sharma in the lead role was released in cinemas on March 15, 2024. As the film releases on the OTT platform today, the makers are making sure to keep up the excitement around the film by sharing new promos and posters from the film. For the uninitiated, the film is currently streaming on ZEE5, starting today.

A new promo that is now released by the official social media account of ZEE5 features Adah Sharma's character IPS Neerja Madhavan. In the video, she is seen saying, "Poore Bastar mein se aap koi bhi gaon select kar lijiye aur chaliyein mere sath, bina security ke aur dekhte hai vaha se zinda vapas kaun laut ta hai, main ya aap? Gaonwale decide karenge, nirdosh kaun hai aur gunehgaar kaun hai. Full and final conclusion? Hain dum?" 

Sharing the video, the makers wrote: "Nirdosh kaun aur gunehgar kaun? Kya hoga gaavwalo ka faisla? #Bastar, inspired by true events, streaming now, only on #ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu."

The makers of the film also shared a new poster with the caption: "A tale of vengeance, martyrdom, and fighting back. Neerja Madhavan is ready for it all."

Bastar is directed by Sudipto Sen of The Kerala Story fame. The film is based on the Naxal insurgency in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district. It is produced by Vipul Shah and is written by Amarnath Jha, Sudipto Sen, and Vipul Shah. Besides Adah, the film will also star Indira Tiwari, Vijay Krishna, Yashpal Sharma, Raima Sen, and Shilpa Shukla.

Earlier, in an interview, the director of the film called Bastar a 'human document.' Suudipto said, “We are focusing on the people who are facing violence on an everyday basis... It is more about gun violence which we have concentrated on in the film."

Bastar: The Naxal Story is currently streaming on ZEE5 in Hindi and Telugu.
