After a successful theatrical run, Sivakarthikeyan’s sci-fi comedy film Ayalaan is now on OTT. The film is available to stream on Sun NXT in Tamil. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Karunakaran and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. Actor Siddharth has dubbed for the voice of the alien character in the film.

What is Ayalaan all about?

Ayalaan is about an alien whose extraterrestrial element ‘sparc’ lands in the hands of a corporate evil. The alien sets out on a mission to get it back and along the way, meets a young man named Thamizh (played by Sivakarthikeyan), who works as a mineral water supplier in a village. Together they set off on a mission to retrieve ‘sparc’ and prevent the antagonist from destroying the planet. The alien is named Tattoo by Sivaarthikeyan’s character in the film.

Reasons to watch Ayalaan on OTT

R Ravikumar, who debuted with the 2015 science fiction drama Indru Netru Naalai, has always explored the genre of science fiction. While Indru Netru Naalai was centered on time travel, Ayalaan is inspired by intriguing tales of extraterrestrial beings.

Sivakarthikeyan, who has always experimented with his roles, continues this with Ayalaan. The actor’s comic timing and onscreen charisma will keep you hooked on your screens.

The film is engaging thanks to its top-notch VFX and fast-paced action. Although some people thought that the story was predictable, the makers have successfully delved into a futuristic world that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, not just kids.

Ayalaan’s sequel in works

And if you enjoy watching Ayalaan on Sun NXT, there's some good news. The makers have announced a sequel to the film, which they promise will be even more interesting. What's more, the sequel also promises to have better VFX work.
