Tamil film industry has been going through a dry spell, with its films not meeting the much-needed contribution to quench the box office thirst. However, it seems that the recently released Tamil film Aranmanai 4 will break that and give some respite. Aranmanai 4 has received mix critical response, but has been getting good response from the general audience.

Aranmanai day 1 box office

As per reports, Aranmanai 4 has collected around Rs 3.60 crore on day one of its release, across India in all languages. The film also has been enjoying an occupancy level of 36.04%, as per a report by Sacnilk. Aranmanai 4 released in big screens on May 3 along with Kurangu Pedal, presented by Sivakarthikeyan. Given its commercial entertaining factors, Aranmanai 4 is expected to get picked up during the ongoing weekend and fetch some good reports for theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Aranmanai 4 is directed by filmmaker Sundar C, who also stars in the film as the male lead. The film revolves around a Chennai-based lawyer who hears bad news about his eloped sister and her family, and goes to her village to check on the happenings. However, there he slowly gets to know that there is a human flesh-feasting spirit called Baak, haunting the people.

Aranmanai 4 features actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Kovai Sarala, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Delhi Ganesh, Santhosh Pratap, and others. The music has been scored by Hip Hop Thamizha. Aranmanai 4 is the fourth installment in the horror comedy franchise created by the filmmaker. While the previous three parts revolved around personal revenge stories, Aranmanai 4 introduces the concept of Baak spirit. The run time of the film is two hours and 28 minutes and has been censored U/A by the Board.
