TVN’s drama Queen of Tears broke records and created history when it surpassed the all-time favourite Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. It is now the second most popular K-drama of TVN after Crash Landing On You. It is also one of those rare dramas that has maintained a decent spot in the Top 10 category for several rows ever since its premiere on Netflix. Queen of Tears' finale episode dropped on April 28 and has been getting rave reviews and unparallel love for its melodramatic narrative and the dream cast. The romantic drama features the formidable likes of K-drama actors Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won. One user even called them one of the finest castings ever and expressed that the weekends turned cheerful because of this cute pairing. 

“Casting Soohyun Jiwon was the finest decision ever made, they bring nothing but immense joy & happiness by portraying baekhong with sheer perfection ...weekends would be so dry without fluffy, soft baekhong,” an X user shared.

While another user dubbed it one of the best love stories with an unmatched experience. The goodbye is also feeling heavy for many social media users, as they shared their emotional feelings of missing their favourite pair onscreen. “It just hit me this is really the finale. no more of these looks after this episode. i will miss them beyond words, one of my fav love stories to date & i am beyond glad i got to experience them w/ you all. cheers to finale,” another shared with a video clip.

Queen of Tears plot

Queen of Tears is penned by the legendary writer of epic K-dramas like Crash Landing On You and several others, Park Ji-eun, under the direction of Jang Young-woo. The story revolves around a troubled married couple who are navigating their unhappy marriage and are on the verge of breaking up. However, things take an intriguing turn when Hong Hae-in, a chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and her husband, Baek Hyun-woo, experience a reconciliation due to unexpected events.
