Kuberaa Review
Ever since the news broke that Sekhar Kammula would direct Dhanush, fans were eager to see what a director known for soft romantic films would deliver. Well, Sekhar Kammula has shocked everyone with a gritty social drama packed with terrific thrills and strong emotions.
Though the film runs over three hours, there's hardly a dull moment. One of its biggest assets is the writing, which hits high notes at regular intervals. The journey of a beggar being pulled into a massive scam, his innocence, and his escape from evil forces is at the heart of Kuberaa, and it works brilliantly.
Sekhar Kammula, known for his light-hearted emotional narratives, takes a different path here, making the audience think deeply about the growing gap between the rich and the common man, and how the latter is often unaware of where his money is going.

Another major highlight is the film’s twists and turns, which keep you on the edge of your seat and rooting for Dhanush’s character. His role is one of the best-written and performed in recent times. Each character serves a purpose, and Kammula avoids unnecessary commercial elements, staying true to the story.
Rashmika’s character is organically included and doesn't feel forced. Nagarjuna’s character arc, especially how he comes to terms with his dark side, is handled powerfully. Performance-wise, Dhanush is the heart and soul of the film. He delivers yet another award-worthy performance. As a beggar trapped in dire circumstances, his transformation, from body language to Telugu dialogue delivery, is outstanding. He evokes empathy and even brings tears in many scenes.
After a long time, Nagarjuna sheds his star image and takes on a role that leaves a lasting impact. It’s a commendable shift and a great example for senior actors in today’s evolving Telugu cinema. Rashmika continues to improve with each film, delivering a solid supporting role. Her chemistry with Dhanush is well-handled by the director.

Jim Sarbh's portrayal of the protagonist is excellent, and his demeanor, appearance, and body language are all in line with the mood of the picture. Dalip After a long time, Tahil finally has a big part, but the rest of the cast does a good job.
Even if the tempo does occasionally slow, Devi Sri Prasad's background music enhances the movie to a new dimension. Some of the scenes, such as Dhanush's encounter with Rashmika before the intermission, and a few in the second half, feel drawn out. The smash song "Poi Ra Mama" slows things down somewhat.
The quality of the production is excellent. The movie, which was filmed in Mumbai, beautifully depicts everything from slums to opulent mansions. The lyrics, Sekhar Kammula's conversations, and the production design are all excellent.
In Kuberaa, Sekhar Kammula deviates from his typical formula and shows that he is capable of handling compelling dramas with conviction. With outstanding performances and compelling social commentary, Kuberaa stands out as one of the best Telugu films in recent memory. The movie's exciting plot and emotional impact will undoubtedly draw crowds to the theater and garner praise for Dhanush and Nagarjuna.

Kuberaa Verdict
On the whole, Kuberaa is one of the best Telugu films in recent times. With gripping thrills, heartfelt emotions, a compelling story, and a powerful message, the film delivers on every front. Dhanush gives yet another award-winning performance, making this a must-watch theatrical experience this weekend.
