Subham is ‘wonderfully weird’ Filmmaker-actor Rahul Ravindran, who is also Samantha’s close friend, attended a premiere in Hyderabad and posted on X (formerly Twitter), “The three couples, the ghosts, the charming coastal backdrop of Bhimilipuram… this movie is an absolute cutie! Funny, sweet, endearing… #Subham has stolen my heart. And one actress has made a special cameo… she completely nailed it. Stardustmaxx she is! Watch #Subham in theatres starting tomorrow! ”

However, it seems he isn’t the only one who enjoyed the film, as a fan who also saw the film shared images from it on X, stating, “Just left the theatre after viewing #Subham, and what a delightful surprise it has turned out to be! It’s not your typical comedy — it’s a wonderfully weird, heartwarming journey filled with innocence and creative storytelling. @Samanthaprabhu2 #Subham. ”

Subham has ‘stretched-out scenes’ Not everyone was entirely impressed with Subham, as one individual remarked that while the film was good, it contained some slow scenes, “Finished watching #Subham. The quirky plot, engaging performances, and concise runtime make this Horror Comedy a fun experience despite a few drawn-out scenes. Full credit to #praveenkandregula for his writing. The incorporation of CinemaBandi into the narrative is a nice touch. ”

Another felt the film had much more potential, “#Subham story had a lot of promise on Paper. But. . . . . . . I understand why #Samantha produced it! Enjoyed the entertaining and a few thrilling segments. My heart couldn’t accept the reality that it could’ve been so much better. ”

One X user felt that the film became exhausting as it continued, “#Subham The second half significantly stumbles and seems to go nowhere. The film's primary problem is that it operates on a singular thread, and the horror-comedy, which initially appears fresh, becomes repetitive and tiresome by the conclusion. The pacing is slow for the majority. The entire ensemble performed their roles competently. The director demonstrated some potential with the writing in the early sections but fails to take advantage, leaving us with not much to reflect on. Not up to expectations! ”

Directed by Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi-fame and written by Vasanth Mariganti, Subham is produced by Samantha and creatively produced by Raj Nidimoru. Shor Police composed the film’s music while Vivek Sagar worked on the background score.

The cast includes Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamshidhar Goud. The film narrates the story of a group of ‘alpha men’ who find themselves outsmarted when their wives begin to misbehave after watching a television program.
