Siddharth Anand's Fighter opened to positive reviews from critics as well as the audience. The filmmaker treated the masses with his aerial actioner, starring Hrithik Roshan, on January 25, 2024. Although it got a bumper opening, Fighter witnessed a sharp decline in its box office collection on day five at the ticket window. Despite that, positive reviews continue to pour in for the movie. R Madhavan recently watched Fighter and had only good things to say about the film.

R Madhavan took to his official X account and shared his review of Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. The Bollywood actor also mentioned director Siddharth Anand and called Fighter 'an extraordinary film'. 

He lauded the entire team's effort and stated that they have given Indian cinema a 'motivating, moving and an archival film'. Madhavan also added that Fighter is going to be a hallmark of how truly international Indian cinema has become today.

After R Madhavan shared his thoughts about Fighter, filmmaker Siddharth Anand responded to the actor. The director thanked him for his kind words. Siddharth mentioned that the team of Fighter would be happy for this recognition from an artist like him.

Fighter box office collection

Meanwhile, Siddharth's film Fighter was off to a flying start at the box office. The movie minted around Rs 100 crore in the first few days of its theatrical release. On its first Monday after the film was released, the Hrithik Roshan starrer only earned Rs 8 crore, followed by Rs 7.75 crore on day six at the box office. 

In this movie, Hrithik essayed the role of Shamsher Pathania aka Patty while Deepika Padukone played the character of Minal Rathore aka Minni. As for Anil Kapoor, he is seen as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh in the film. Produced by Marflix Pictures and Viacom 18 Studios, Fighter is the first aerial action movie of Indian cinema.
