Shiv Sena leader Anand Dubey has claimed that suicide of accused in Salman Khan’s firing case is a big conspiracy and should be investigated. He urged Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to investigate the matter urgently. Anand questioned how could someone die in a secured lock-up. The accused Anuj Thapan was found dead in his lock-up and the reports suggested suicide.

Anand Dubey raises questions

Anand Dubey, an accused in Salman Khan’s house firing case, was found dead in the Mumbai police lock-up. Since it was a high-profile case, he was in a secured lock-up. “This is a big conspiracy. We appeal to Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to take this matter seriously, otherwise, no one will trust law and order anymore,” he said, further questioning how if the ones threatening Salman Khan roam around freely and die, then what would happen with the common men.

Thapan killed because he was arrested?

“Could it be that a gang or group, trying to threaten and extort Salman Khan, was behind this? And when they learned that the accused had been caught and would reveal everything, they killed him?,” he questioned. Dubey also went on to question if a politician or high-ranking officer is involved in the matter.

Thapan’s death and the aftermath

On May 1, Mumbai Police informed that Anuj Thapan allegedly attempted suicide and hung himself inside the lock-up. He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Thapan was reportedly one of the arms suppliers in the Salman Khan house firing case. The state CID is investigating whether Thapan actually died by suicide or there was more to it. He was arrested from Sangrur almost a week back. His family claimed that he worked as a truck helper. Resonating Dubey’s claims, the sarpanch of the village, Manoj Godara, told ANI that the family was informed of Thapan’s arrest after two days and that he was taken away without informing the panchayat of it either. He too questioned how did Thapan die despite the security in lock-up.

After Thapan’s demise, there were reports that Lawrence Bishnoi’s aid Goldy Brar was also killed in California. However, there is still no certainty in the same.

Arrests in Salman Khan’s house firing case

Four arrests were made in Salman Khan’s house firing case. Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta are the accused shooters who fired four bullets at Galaxy Apartments, while Sonu Subhash Chander and Thapar were alleged to be those who supplied arms to the shooters. Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi is once again under the police’s radar and posters are issued against him.
