Shah Rukh Khan created history by becoming the inaugural Indian male actor to walk the blue carpet of the esteemed Met Gala this year. The superstar made a grand entrance dressed by designer Sabyasachi, appearing stylish in a floor-length, elongated coat crafted from Tasmanian superfine wool, featuring monogrammed Japanese horn buttons. 

Amul India honors SRK's Met Gala style

Dairy brand Amul India drew inspiration from the appearance and honored the actor by referring to him as 'India's Biggest Galakaar'. In their artistic campaign, they featured SRK's legendary Bengal Tiger Head Cane—made of 18k gold and adorned with tourmalines, sapphires, and diamonds—and the distinctive ‘K’ necklace.

On Wednesday, Amul shared the artwork, which showcased an animated version of the superstar in his Met Gala outfit, holding the cane in one hand and Amul butter toast in the other, on their social media. Their caption stated, “#Amul Topical: Shahrukh Khan attends the world’s most prestigious and glamorous fashion event! ”

Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude to Sabyasachi

Earlier today, Shah Rukh took to social media to express his gratitude to his designer Sabyasachi for introducing him to the Met Gala. He shared two photos—one in black and white and the other in color—showing off his stylish black outfit and stunning jewelry. Shah Rukh wrote, 'Thanks @sabyasachiofficial and your entire team for bringing me into the Met Gala scene. It’s not really my thing, but you made me feel so at ease... because you, like me, understand that style and fashion are all about being yourself. You all made me feel like a true 'K'!'

Indian celebrities at the Met Gala

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the Met Gala 2025 was also the first time for singer Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani to attend. Other Indian stars at this year's event included Priyanka Chopra, Isha Ambani, Manish Malhotra, Mona Patel, Natasha Poonawala, Prabal Gurung, and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
