One of the most adorable couples in B-town is Patralekha and Rajkummar Rao. In a recent show, comedian Raunaq Rajani invited Rajkummar, along with fellow comedians Abish Mathew and Urooj Ashfaq, to share relationship advice. The discussion turned to home cooks, and Rajkummar had a fascinating tale to tell.

On the program dubbed RelashionShit Advice, Raunaq talked about how his chef treats his wife, which is almost disrespectful. Because he is a skilled chef, they have not fired him, even though he only listens to the man in the family and ignores his wife. Rajkummar interrupted the discussion with a case where he and his wife Patralekha were in a similar circumstance.

When Rajkummar fired his cook

“I’ll give you an example from our house, and see the difference, guys. Our cook was probably 48 years old, and he was excellent! I was enjoying fantastic Mexican vegetarian fare for the first time in my life. Rajkummar stated that if it weren't for the rice and hari sabzi (with his earlier cook), it would be anything.

"He prepared a fantastic Mexican platter for me, and after two days, Patra told me, 'Listen, this guy doesn't talk nicely to me. I think there's some issue,'" Rajkummar continued. And I was able to determine. He gave a face on the third day, when Patra asked him a question. However, he would treat me with great respect when speaking. Do you know what I did? I rang him and instructed him to "pack your bags and leave."

Rajkummar is hard at work promoting his most recent film, Bhool Chuk Maaf, which also stars Wamiqa Gabbi. The movie is currently playing in cinemas.
