Tollywood witnessed several weddings since the end of 2023. However, there are many celebs whose relationships or wedding plans are at the center of their fans’ curiosities. Actress Paayel Sarkar is one of them. Why is she still single? Paayel recently explained the reason in a television reality show, Dadagiri, hosted by Sourav Ganguly.  

Paayel told the host, “Many people ask why I am single. The parents in any Bengali family are so possessive…” Sourav stopped the actress and asked, “So you are single because of your parents?” Paayel said, “Exactly. Leave aside the right man for me, I don’t get the right persons for them also.”

In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Paayel said, “Let me first tell you that the entire subject was told in jest.” However, whether she is in a relationship or not is none of any other’s concern except her parents, Paayel thinks.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of staying single? Paayel said, “You can spend your life comfortably if you are single.” She also believes that people can feel the pros and cons of singlehood when they start living with someone. The entire thing depends on individual mentality. “On the other hand, the responsibility is divided if you are in a relationship. But it remains to see if that is acceptable to everyone.” Is she in a relationship, or is she single now? Paayel smiled, “Why would I say? I don’t understand why I have to tell whether I am in a relationship or not.”

Recently, Paayel was seen in the film Abar Aranye Din Ratri. She acted in a Bangladeshi movie Darad which is waiting to be released. Also, she will start working on her new film soon.
