Actor-turned-politician Dev said many times that he believes in courtesy in politics. He maintained his stand while campaigning for the ongoing parliamentary election. Dev has a cordial relationship with members of the opposition party. In a recent interview, he talked about his co-actor Mithun Chakraborty, who belongs to his opposite political camo. He said that Mithun is close and is like a father-figure to him.

Now, Mithun Chakraborty commented about Dev. He was asked about Dev’s cordial comments about him. Mithun told ABP Ananda, “Why would he not say this? This is a courtesy. His father distributed food to the big productions and always brought some home-cooked food for me. He loved me so much! Dev used to be with him at that time. He was young then. I knew Dev from that time. He is right, I am like his father. When Dev set foot in the cinema, SVF sent him to me. I told them that Dev grew up and became handsome, that he was a wonderful boy with a fabulous personality. I told them to take him.”

Dev did a film, Projapoti, with Mithun which was a blockbuster. Dev said in an event that Mithun was like his father and Paran Banerjee was like his grandfather. He said, “If Mithunda wants a kidney, I can give him mine. And if Paranda wants blood, then I can give all my blood to him.”

Mithun and Dev were last seen together as father and son in the film Prajapati. That film became a superhit, and so did the father-son pair.
