Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, opened to polarising reactions upon its theatrical release in 2023. Although the film was one of the highest-grossing films last year, Animal was heavily criticised by a few celebrities. However, Manushi Chillar had a different take. The actress addressed the rumour of being offered a role in Sandeep's film. Chhillar said she loves the filmmaker and revealed the female character she would have loved to play in Animal.

Manushi Chhillar would've loved to play Geetanjali in Animal

Speaking with the entertainment channel, Manushi Chhillar said both Rashmika Mandanna aka Geetanjali and Triptii Dimri aka Zoya's character were interesting. "But I loved Rashmika's character because, in this whole world where men were fighting each other, she stood her ground," said Manushi.

For the uninitiated, Rashmika plays Ranbir Kapoor aka Ranvijay's wife Geetanjali in Animal. On the other hand, Triptii's Zoya has an affair with him. Revealing why she would've loved to play Mandanna's character, Manushi added, "She confronted a man. She held him accountable. She said I don't care about who you are, what you are doing outside, and how dangerous you might be."

Manushi stated that Rashmika's character had an arch. She believes it was a good opportunity and the actress did a great job.

Manushi Chhillar's work front

Meanwhile, Manushi Chhillar was recently seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The actress played a pivotal role in the action-thriller, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. Manushi also shared screen space with Alaya F and Sonakshi Sinha. The film, which was released on April 11, failed to work wonders at the box office.

Before BMCM, Manushi was seen in Operation Valentine with Varun Tej. The movie was directed by Shakti Pratap Singh and backed by Sony Pictures and Sandeep Mudda.
