Anirban Bhattacharya and Madhurima Goswami got married in 2020 after years of courtship. They started their journey together through theatre. Together, they worked in the theatre group, Hatibagan Sangharam. However, it was rumored that the marriage was not working out well. It was also heard that they would seek a divorce. Madhurima cleared the air in a recent interview.

Madhurima Goswami, while talking to TV9 Bangla, dismissed the rumor. She said she was amazed to hear such speculations. She would be sad if it were true. Since it is not, she doesn’t feel any remorse. She said, “Honestly, the entire thing is a rumor.”

Madhurima, the daughter of the mime artist Niranjan Goswami, is a celebrated theatre worker. News about their separation was in the air a few months back – around September last year. Anirban said that he did not want to comment on this since it was a matter of some person and persons related to him. “I would not want it from the deepest of my heart. I pray that I can resolve this within myself.”

Madhurima said that she did not know why such rumors had taken place. She was trolled a lot after marrying Anirban. She said ‘What I can say is that many people will be happy if we break up. I am getting so many curses after marrying Anirbanda.’ How is Anirban as a husband? Madhurima said that she had just one marriage and hence did not know the definition of a good husband. She saw her parents – Niranjan as her mother’s husband. She said that Anirban, as a husband material, resembles her father.
