Hoichoi announced a series of shows, including Debashree Roy’s Chemistry Mashi and Chiranjit Charaborty’s Parnashavarir Shaap on September 2023 during its slate announcement of Season 7. Now, the platform has made a new announcement with 14 shows – some new, some from the previous set, and some, from Bangladesh. All of these shows are slated to release between April - September 2024.

Hoichoi announces new shows

In April, Hoichoi is set to announce Joydeep Mukherjee’s Advocate Achinta Aich which features Ritwick Chakraborty and Saswata Chatterjee. Surangana Bandyopadhyay will play an important character in the show. 

OTTplay has reported that Swastika Mukherjee has collaborated with Sayantan Ghosal for a drama, Bijoya, which is based on the Jadavpur University’s ragging case in its article, Exclusive! Swastika Mukherjee teams up with Sayantan Ghosal for a web series and here is what it is based on…. Hoichoi has officially confirmed the news in their new slate. Swastika plays the character of a mother whos e young son dies in his hostel soon after he gets admitted to an esteemed institution. 

Besides, Swastika will also be seen in Ayan Chaktraborty’s Nikhoj. Tota Roy Chowdhury plays a key character in the show. Besides Nikhoj, the second season of Rajneeti, Noshtoneer, and Gobhir Joler Mach will also get dropped.  

Paoli Dam will be seen in a show, Gutipoka. The series delves into the life of a woman who stands up after being wronged. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, it also features Sourav Chakraborty. 

Debaloy Bhattacharya will present Bokabaksho Te Bondi which features Solanki Roy – an actress who gets trapped between reel life and reality. 

Earlier, OTTplay reported that Gaurav Chakrabarty will be seen as the male lead in Hoichoi’s Best Of Bengal production, Parineeta. Directed by Aditi Roy, Debchandrima will play the female lead.

Rongila Kitab

Led by Anam Biswas and featuring Pori Moni, it guarantees a fascinating tale for audiences. The series follows the journey of a small-town thug who decides to turn away from his criminal life upon learning about his impending fatherhood. Jimmi

Golam Mamun

Directed by Shihab Shaheen and starring Ziaul Faruq Apurba, this production promises a compelling tale of justice and redemption. This is Hoichoi’s first adaptation of the Golam Mamun character for a new series. Mamun, portrayed by Ziaul Faruq Apurba, finds himself arrested for the murder of his would-be assailant, with his name also linked to the deaths of his friend and the friend's wife. As a law enforcement officer, Mamun is now forced to defy the law and evade police capture to clear his name and prove his innocence!

Mitthyabadi

Under the direction of Vicky Zahed and featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury, this production delivers a captivating depiction of suspicion and intrigue. Alvira, a devoted wife and mother of a four-year-old, is thrown into turmoil when she discovers her husband's impotence. As she grapples with this revelation, Alvira embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about her child's paternity and unravel the injustices perpetrated against her. Mehazabien Chowdhury makes her return to Hoichoi after "Sabrina" with "Mitthyabadi."

Bohemian Ghora

Under the direction of Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and featuring Mosharraf Karim, this production promises a charming blend of humour and chaos. Abbas, a truck driver known for his passionate affairs, finds himself in a predicament as his seven wives from seven different districts cause havoc in his life. However, the situation takes a comedic turn when Abbas encounters trouble while attempting to embark on his eighth marriage. Mosharraf Karim makes a triumphant return to Hoichoi following the immense success of "Mohanagar," "Dour," and "Mobaroknama" with "Bohemian Ghora."
