Manisha Koirala on playing Mallikajaan in Heeramandi

Earlier, in an interview with OTTplay, Manisha Koirala spoke about essaying the part of Mallikajaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. The actress wanted to bring a human aspect to her role because she is a huge antagonist.

"Honestly, after discussing with the director, as he has to agree with what you are doing and after you have understood what he's trying to tell, you bring in some elements as an actor. No matter how cruel she is, I wanted to bring a human aspect to her," said Manisha.

The actress added that Mallikajaan is not an out-and-out evil character. However, Manisha felt some human element was necessary for the role.
