Dil Dosti Dilemma is now available on Prime Video, with Anushka Sen in the lead role. The series begins with how, in front of her friends, Asmara (Anushka) disowns her grandmother (Tanvi Azmi) because of her social class when she is affluent. Her furious parents force her to spend the summer at Naani and Naana's humble home on Tibbri Road instead of going to Canada.

Asmara's social struggle and summer sojourn

Throughout the series, we see Asmara establishing a friendship with Rukhsana (Vishakha Pandey), her neighbour on Tibbri Road, and also, in the process, falling in love with Farzaan (Kush Jotwani). However, it takes her time to fit into the world she doesn't belong to, giving up her privileges as well as giving constant lies to her friends Tania (Elisha Mayor) and Naina (Revathi Pillai). 

In the final episode, the three friends who call themselves "Awesome Threesome" gather together and reveal their hidden truths. This includes Tania shattering the truth about her parents, who claimed to be madly in love with each other. But the fact of the matter is that her mom is cheating on her father, while her dad, despite being aware, behaved as if he knew nothing. On the other hand, Naina admits that her crush Armaan was only using her to get coaching from her dad, played by Priyanshu Chatterjee, to become the best tennis player. 

Love and resistance

Meanwhile, we also see that the relationship between Rukhsana and Suhail has Farzaan's backing. This leads to Asmara and him asking her to elope, as his family is forcing Ruksana to get married to a corporator's son to save Tibbri Road and the family's dignity.  

Thus, in their fight against the planned development on Tibbri Road, Asmara, Tania, and Naina enlist the aid of their loved ones. We see in the last episode that unforeseen events, ranging from joyful to tragic, determine the destiny of Tibbri Road and Asmara's future.

Love triangle and unresolved relationships

The season finale concludes with Naina's mother successfully bringing a stay order to the redevelopment, saving Tibbri Road. On the other hand, Farzaan tells Asmara (Anushka) that it's tough to forget your first crush, and an undisclosed girl in a white salwar suit walks towards him. This suggests that there will be a love triangle in the future.

On the other hand, Ruksana and Suhail, who planned to elope after a "Dil Deke Dekho" concert, fail to do so. Ruksana waits at the bus stop for Suhail to escape to Mumbai, but he is nowhere in sight.

We have to wait and watch to see what the future holds for the characters as the series hints at the second season.
