Katrina Kaif smarter than Ranbir and Aamir

Bimal Parekh, Aamir Khan's longtime chartered accountant, recently discussed the financial aspects of Bollywood in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He said that Aamir and Ranbir, who are generally regarded as two of Bollywood's top performers, are laid-back about money, saying, "They don't understand money."

"Katrina Kaif is the sharpest. She develops an interest. Aamir and Ranbir are not all that concerned! Ritesh Sidhwani and Krishna DK (of the Raj-DK director duo) are also astute; they have a good understanding of finance," he said.

In addition to being Ranbir's financial counselor, Bimal is also the co-owner of his football team. The team's ultimate decision-maker, he said, was his father, the late actor Rishi Kapoor. Rishi was alright with working with others, according to Bimal, but he was curious as to who would lead the group because he wanted a member of the family to manage the company.

Aamir’s profit sharing funda

Bimal disclosed in the interview that he was the first man to develop the complete backend equation for Aamir's case.

"No upfront cost, but profit sharing," he stated. In this manner, the studio (Viacom 18) continued to profit from Laal Singh Chadha, while Aamir earned very little. But Aamir profited from Dangal. At a period when everyone demanded an upfront fee, we began doing this. Since he doesn't want his producers to lose money, Aamir had nonchalantly told me that he charges less. I was taken aback and advised him to not attack at all but rather to take a back end.

Aamir previously said at the ABP Live summit that he wasn't asking for any money for Laal Singh Chaddha. “I never received any money for Laal Singh Chaddha since it didn't perform well at the box office," he said. “I am never paid until the film makes any profit… I don’t regret it either. It is my responsibility to accept accountability for the movie's failure.
