Vinay Gowda was, undoubtedly, one of the strongest contenders for the Bigg Boss Kannada 10 title. Unwavering in his attitude, Vinay was, perhaps, the only one who remained the same throughout the 112 odd days in the house. He made no bones about calling a spade a spade, but was also a true friend to those who realized that there’s more to Vinay than just his aggression.

Unfortunately for Vinay, much of the narrative in the public domain centred on his ‘rude and aggressive’ behaviour, a narrative that the showrunners did not attempt to change. Vinay was the big bad villain of the season. Back home after being eliminated as the third runner-up, Vinay is yet to get a complete picture of how Bigg Boss Kannada 10 played out for audiences, but says that his loss was down to perspectives that were formed.

Speaking to the media from his home, Vinay said that audiences saw him and formed a perspective based on the one-and-half hour footage shown in the daily episodes, chosen by the showrunners from the whole day’s video. Once that perspective was set, no matter what he said or did, it did not change this image. What also proved detrimental for Vinay is that although JioCinema had a live telecast of the show 24*7, the audio was muted for the most part, so audiences only really got to see what was presented to them by the showrunners.

The Hara Hara Mahadev actor admits that his aggressive behaviour during the games and tasks would have created a negative impression. Interestingly, he added that it is not the fault of those who saw the episodes, or those who showed him like that. As for his constant feud with Hara Hara Mahadev co-star Sangeetha Sringeri, there was a buzz that the actors could not see eye-to-eye even before heading into the Bigg Boss house. Vinay dispels that, but says that during the making of the show, he and Sangeetha kept to themselves and concentrated only on their work and were not friends.
