The filming of the forthcoming Tamil film Benz has completed its initial schedule. Nivin Pauly, who starred in films such as Malayalee From India and Neram, will play the notorious Walter in the movie, while the titular character will be portrayed by the Kanchana actor. It has already been published that Benz will be a member of LCU.

It is anticipated that Benz will have a Leo connection, given reports strongly indicating that Madonna Sebastian is on board. Leo, starring Vijay, is the newest entry in the LCU series for those unfamiliar with it. Madonna Sebastian, who portrays Elisa Das, Leo Das's twin sister who is murdered in the flashback, made a cameo appearance. It appears that Benz will have a Leo connection, or perhaps be set in the same timeline, now that it's anticipated that Madonna will reprise her role. But as of yet, none of this has been formally verified.

The theme of LCU is the conflict between law enforcement officers and vigilantes who stand against the crime and drug lords who operate their mafia. Actors like Kamal Haasan, Karthi, Fahadh Faasil, Vijay and others are part of LCU.

The post-theatrical rights for Benz are with Netflix. Sai Abhyankkar, the rising young indie music star who is writing the music for several projects, has been signed as the film's music composer. The movie is produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj under the name G Squad. The technical team also consists of the editor, Philomin Raj, and the cinematographer, Goutham G. The producers have not yet revealed the release date.
