Ranveer Allahbadia faced criticism for his remarks regarding Samay Raina's India's Got Latent. Numerous celebrities expressed their disapproval of the YouTuber, including singer B Praak, who subsequently withdrew from his scheduled appearance on Ranveer’s podcast. Recently, the singer stated that Ranveer should be granted forgiveness if he genuinely feels remorse for his behavior.
Ranveer should be forgiven
In an interview with Viral Bhayani, B Praak stated, "The situation was quite serious and indeed inappropriate. However, I hold the view that no family should be subjected to personal harm. If an individual sincerely apologizes for their actions and shows genuine remorse, we should refrain from prolonging the issue and extend our forgiveness."
He went on to encourage the creation of quality content, remarking, "I did voice my concerns regarding what I perceived as wrong. This reflects my personal perspective, and we did not intend to offend anyone. It is evident that when we produce quality content, it garners appreciation. Ultimately, everything hinges on the words we choose. Therefore, it is imperative for everyone to focus on creating good content, quality films, and meaningful songs."
When B Praak slammed Ranveer
The vocalist expressed disapproval of the YouTuber's 'pathetic thinking,' stating, "I was scheduled to participate in a podcast on Beer Biceps, but we decided to cancel. Why? Because we are all witnessing the inadequacy of his reasoning, particularly in the choice of words he employed during Samay Raina's show."
He further remarked that this behavior does not align with Indian cultural values and raised concerns about the narratives individuals are sharing regarding their parents. He questioned the nature of these stories and what is being conveyed about them. He underscored that such content should not be classified as comedy and condemned the practice of using abusive language and instructing others to do the same, expressing his bewilderment and disappointment with the attitudes of the current generation.
India's Got Latent row
Ranveer encountered significant criticism for his comments regarding parents and sexual matters during his appearance on Samay Raina's program, India's Got Latent. Following the episode's viral spread on social media, several FIRs were lodged against him, Samay, Apoorva Mukhija, and the production team of the show. In response to the controversy, Samay subsequently removed all episodes of India's Got Latent from YouTube, while Ranveer disclosed that he received death threats despite issuing an apology for his statements.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court criticized podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia for his inappropriate remarks made on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent show, stating that he should feel ashamed and that such conduct warrants condemnation. The court remarked, "The words you have chosen—parents will be ashamed, sisters will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perverted mind. These are the levels of depravity you and your henchmen have gone to. We have a judicial system, bound by the rule of law. If there are threats, the law will take its course."
