A few days back, Adil Khan Durrani got remarried with Bigg Boss 12 contestant Somi Khan. He was previously married to Rakhi Sawant but Adil calls the same ‘null and void.’ Rakhi and Adil are undergoing their divorce proceedings in court, when he got married for the second time. He further went on to say that Rakhi can never keep anyone happy.

Adil defends his marriage with Somi

Adil faced wrath for his remarriage with Somi a few days back. He defended the step telling ETimes that his marriage to Rakhi is null and void and that his and Somi’s families approve of the wedding. Adil also reminded of Muslim rights to remarry.

‘Rakhi can never keep anyone happy’

“She has always spread negativity and she can never give happiness to anyone. Woh kisi bhi insaan ke life mein enter karke khushiyaan nahi de sakti hai,” he said, adding, “I’m not like her. I like to spread happiness and Somi has brought happiness in my life and I’m enjoying my happy and peaceful life with her.”

About Adil’s remarriage and divorce with Rakhi

Adil is still undergoing divorce proceedings with Rakhi in a sessions court in Mumbai. His nikah ceremony with Somi took place on March 3. Adil and Rakhi got married in July, 2022. Back in February 2023, their wedding went through ugly phases. She accused him of having an extra-marital affair publicly. The actress also accused him of domestic violence and mishandling her funds. Meanwhile, Adil accused Rakhi of keeping him blindsided about a previous wedding and pregnancy.

Rakhi Sawant had introduced Adil to the media. Adil would go out of his way to impress Rakhi back when they were dating and their mushy videos got fans and paparazzi happy that Rakhi finally found happiness. They eventually got married and Rakhi converted to Islam briefly.
