Koushik Sen’s mother, actress Chitra Sen, fell ill recently. On Thursday, her daughter-in-law Reshmi Sen, and grandson Riddhi Sen took her to the hospital. Koushik Sen could not go there because he was stuck at work and arrived a little later.

Later, Koushik Sen told Anandabazar Online, “My mother had a sodium-potassium imbalance. It can happen due to the heat. She is under medical supervision and there is nothing to worry about.”

Reshmi Sen is shooting in Taki right now. Hence, she admitted her mother-in-law and went to shoot at 7 pm. Koushik and Riddhi stayed at the hospital after Reshmi went out. Koushik said, “Chitra Sen’s ECG and Echo reports are normal. The doctors said that there was no cause to get worried. She is 85. A range of problems are happening due to her age. Sometimes she has an ache in her waist, and sometimes she has nerve-related complications.”

Reshmi and Koushik are both busy with their serials. Chitra Sen is a popular actress and dance performer. She acted in many Bengali films and serials. Komal Gandhar (1961), Personal Assistant (1959), City of Joy (1992), Konyadan- (1993), 19Se April (1993), Bhoy (1996), Anu (1999), Cancer (2001), Poth (2003), Je Jon Thake Majhkhane (2006), 61 Garpar Lane (2017), and Kontho (2019) are some of her films.

She worked in many popular serials as well, including Ranga Mathay Chiruni, Subarnalata, Boyei Gelo, Rajjotok, Aj Ari Kal Bhab, Kundo Fuler Mala, Ondormohol, Nokshi Knatha, Sreemoyee, Khorkuto, and Meyebela.

Chitra Sen was a prolific actress on the stage as well. Her husband was Shyamal Sen, another noted theater personality.
