Delhi Metro resumes operations from today after a gap of close to 6 months due to COVID-19 pandemic. It is going to be a new travelling experience for passengers with COVID safety measure being strictly adhered to in the metro stations. At the Rajiv Chowk station, only gate no.7 will be used for entry of passengers. Mandatory use of masks, sanitisation, temperature checks and use of only smart cards are some of the rules that passengers will have to follow.

There has been a rise of 80 per cent in the number of home isolation cases of COVID-19 in the national capital in the last 16 days. With more cases, the number of containment zones has also increased to 976 over the same period, according to official data.
