Actor Rishi Kapoor dies at the age of 67, after a 2 year long battle with cancer, on Thursday, 30th April. His brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed to news agency PTI that the actor had been taken to hospital on wednesday. “He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has developed some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now,” Randhir Kapoor had given press release yesterday.
This is second loss to film fraternity within two days. Irrfan Khan breathed his last, just yesterday, 29th April, losing battle against cancer!
The loss of Rishi kapoor has sent in shock waves across the country.

Rishi Kapoor had been fighting cancer over the last one year in New York. He returned to Mumbai last September. In February, Kapoor was hospitalised twice due to his health issues. He was first admitted to a hospital in Delhi where he was attending a family function. At the time, Kapoor had said that he was suffering from an “infection”.
Rishi Kapoor is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima. Last seen in the 2019 films The Body and Jhootha Kahin Ka, Mr Kapoor was meant to star in a Bollywood adaptation of The Intern with Deepika Padukone starting this year!
